Gavin and Stacey star, James Corden has landed a deal which will see him writing a series of short jokes to be published on Walls Ice Cream lolly sticks.

“We want to re-launch the jokes on lolly sticks and we thought that using a comedian like James would be ideal,” a spokesman for Wall’s confirmed. “We have spoken to James’ agent about providing the jokes and he seems keen.

“James is an up and coming comedian who is cutting edge and some of his jokes could make ice cream even more accessible to people. We want to update the current jokes and make them more relevant. The jokes won’t be too long, probably just long enough to comfortably fit on the stick and we are hoping that people will find them original as well as amusing.

“We also heard through the grape vine that he was a fan of ice cream.”
