James Corden was “nervous” about his new show

Comedian James Corden has revealed that he was “nervous” ahead of taking on the role of presenting James Corden’s World Cup.

James, who of course starred in Gavin and Stacey and is currently topping the charts with his track alongside Dizzee Rascal, told the Daily Star that his biggest worry is that the show is live.

He said, “The prospect of doing the show was just so daunting because it’s live, but I wanted to give it a go.

“I knew I’d regret it otherwise. Besides, being nervous is not a bad thing…

“It shows you care.”

He went on to describe how hosting the show is his “dream job.”

He said, “The England football players are huge heroes of mine and I couldn’t believe I was actually going to be able to watch the whole of the World Cup at work.

“Rio [Ferdinand] is a good friend now. I played golf with Steven Gerrard and went night-fishing with John Terry. Both were very funny.”
