There has been speculation of late that young actress, Jenna-Louise Coleman, would be taking a break from ITV soap Emmerdale, on which she plays the character of Jasmine Thomas.

However, The Daily Star have reported today that Jenna would not just be taking a break, but intends to leave the soap when her contract expires at the end of the year.

Emmerdale sources are keeping quiet about the storyline surrounding her exit, but one thing is for sure, they have no intention of killing her off!

New executive producer Anita Turner told the newspaper: “We are not killing her off because she’s a character we would like to have back at some point.”
