Jeremy Clarkson is said to have been told off by BBC bosses for mocking Gordon Brown for the second time.

The Daily Mail reported that Clarkson was warming up the Top Gear audience when he said “I get into trouble talking about Gordon Brown, he is a silly c***.”

Just months ago Clarkson called Brown a “one-eyed Scottish idiot” during a press conference in Australia.

Though BBC Two controller Janice Hadlow is said to have spoken to Clarkson following his comments.

A spokesperson insisted: “As controller of BBC Two [Janice Hadlow] holds both the programme and Jeremy in high regard. After the recording she and Jeremy had a discussion about the programme, as controllers and presenters often do.”
