Jeremy Paxman swear live on air

BBC Newsnight presenter Jeremy Paxman was forced to apologise to viewers this week after he dropped an F bomb on air.

Jeremy was quoting from journalist Andrew Rawnsley’s new book on Gordon Brown and the recent bullying furore when he read out the swear word.

He later told Rawnsley: “Apparently I’m told by our editor I have to apologise for quoting what you said the Prime Minister said. So honour satisfied now.”

The BBC said just one viewer complained about the late night broadcast.

He said: “During a post-watershed interview with Andrew Rawnsley Jeremy read a direct quote from his book which contained an expletive.

“He apologised to anyone that may have found it offensive.”
