It is the very first TV show where contestants win money for telling the truth, but these are no easy questions… Nothing But The Truth will return to Sky One with more outrageous revelations and sensational confessions each week starting Wednesday 9th January at 10pm 2008.
Contestants are hooked up to a lie-detector and asked a tailored set of increasingly personal and risque questions about their life. They must then truthfully answer 21 of these questions again in front of a studio audience, winning increasingly bigger cash prizes along the way, with a maximum jackpot of £50,000 at stake.
But how far are the contestants willing to go for the money? With their closest friends, family and partners in the audience hearing their every confession, the stakes couldn’t be higher, and if the lie-detector determines they are not telling the truth, the contestant is immediately out of the game, losing everything.
Compelling and controversial, Nothing But The Truth launched in October with a special week of episodes in which contestants were put through the trials and tribulations of the lie detector to reveal their deepest secrets. Contestants’ confessions ranged from having had a threesome and cheating on their partner, to coming out as gay to their mother, and preferring football to their girlfriend!
