Jessie J is due to take to the stage at the iTunes Festival in around two hours live from the Roundhouse in London following support from Lawson at 7:45pm.
Not only that but she’s just released her second studio album ‘Alive’ earlier today (23rd September). The star has spoken also about comparisons between her and American star Miley Cyrus.
Since Jessie J released her new track ‘It’s My Party’ some people have began comparing the star and her short blonde hair to Miley Cyrus.
You’ll remember last year when Jessie J shaved her head for Comic Relief – hence the now short hair.
Jessie J though, who has just released her second studio album ‘Alive’ spoke with Digital Spy and said that to compare the pair is just “lazy”:
“You know what? I have to see it as naive and lazy comparisons. My face has been the same since I was born, but as soon as I had a bob, my music sounded like Katy Perry’s.”
“Now I’ve got short blonde hair, my music all of a sudden sounds like Miley’s and Pink’s. It’s young people a lot of the time, because they’re very obsessed with one person.”
Jessie J continued and said that while the lyrics may be similar the songs are completely different:
“It used to bother me, but it doesn’t anymore. I know what makes me different. The lyrics of mine and Miley’s are similar, but the songs are completely different. You’d never see me kissing a doll in a swimming pool! She pulls it off, but I couldn’t.”
Jessie J is set to take to the stage at the iTunes Festival at 9pm live from the Roundhouse in London. To get you in the mood why not listen to one of her classics ‘Price Tag’ which was the second single from her debut album ‘Who You Are’.
