In tomorrow night’s edition of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, we’re going to meet Danielle Mason, who is the sister of EastEnders star Jessie Wallace…
And she’s set to discuss how she, a “gorger” – the travellers’ word for anyone who wasn’t born into their community – has affected her and her relationship with her traveller boyfriend, cage fighter Tony Giles.
And more specifically, Danielle, who’s a former page three model, will discuss the fact that having a boob job caused a lot of angst in her relationship with Tony.
Speaking to the Sun ahead of tomorrow night’s screening of the show, Danielle, who has a young son with Tony, said of her boob job, “After you’ve had a baby, you lose so much confidence. Well I did, anyway. I suffered with post-natal depression…
“I just wanted to get them done for my own sake and I feel much happier now.
“Tony was up for it and helped me pay for them. But they’re quite big now so a lot of people do look at them and he gets a bit funny about that because he’s quite jealous.
“He doesn’t like me wearing revealing tops but now I’ve got them done I want to show them off.
“I’m a Page 3 girl but gypsies don’t like stuff like that so I can see why we’re an interesting couple.”
Danielle went on to say that some of the focus tomorrow night will be on the lavish christening for her son Rudy.
Of that, she said, “At Rudy’s christening there was a cake which was seven tiers of cupcakes and we arrived in a stretch Hummer.
“It was half Tony’s family, who are gypsies, and half my family. It was very over the top.
“Tony and I are not engaged at the moment but we’ve spoken about it and he’s asked me. There might be a wedding next year.
“I would definitely have a big dress like the gypsy girls but I’m not sure I’d have one weighing 15 stone like those girls do.
“They have to wear nappies to pad their hips because they are so heavy and cut them.”
She then remarked that while being filmed for the episode, she would often forget the cameras were recording every moment and word.
She said, “You forget the cameras are there and me and Tony bickered and even split up at one point.
“It’s going to be cringeworthy seeing our rows onTV– and when I was filmed in labour, bouncing on a ball with no make-up on. I’m quite nervous about it coming out.”
And finally, of Danielle’s volatile relationship with her sister Jessie – who fell out several years ago over a man – she said, “I haven’t spoken to her and I don’t know anyone who has.
“She knows I’m doing the show because she mentioned it to a couple of people.
“I think we might make up this year and I hope she’ll be tuning in to watch the show.”
