Joan Rivers and Alicia Silverstone on The Graham Norton Show
This week on his BBC Two show Graham Norton chats to Joan Rivers and Alicia Silverstone.
Joan tells Graham on The Graham Norton Show about swearing on a live daytime ITV programme this week.
She says: “I was thrown out of Loose Women, two men turfed me off, I thought ‘osteoporosis, crack, crack!’ I thought this is a reality show and I’m the first voted off… they didn’t give me a goody bag.”
Alicia tells Graham about being a vegan: “I really care about animals, there’s so much unnecessary suffering going on… all four of my dogs are vegan, they don’t fart any more! I eat delicious food but without cruelty.”
And on stripping off for an advertisement for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), she says: “It was scary [but] I knew I really wanted to make this message appealing.”
Also on this week’s show there’s music from The Freemasons performing live in the studio.
The Graham Norton Show, 9.45pm, Thursday 19 June 2008, BBC Two
