John Barrowman Apologises For Exposing His Willy On Radio
Can someone please tell me why John Barrowman has felt the need to apologise for exposing himself on yesterdays Radio One Switch show?
John was engaging in a bit of banter with show hosts Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac who were teasing him about his tendancy for getting his willy out. He then decided to show them what all the fuss was about though he later stated “I didn’t take the whole thing out, but I got my fruit and nuts out.”
A whole ONE listener complained and so John was persuaded to issue a formal apology to the BBC and all listeners. One word that stands out here is LISTENERS! No one saw John’s pee pee machine, though some may have wanted to. It wasn’t aired via the Radio One webcam and the only people traumatised really were Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw.
This is political correctness gone mad and in the wake of ‘manuelgate’ the BBC are obviously taking no chances on starting another scandal. But really, are celebrities and presenters going to have to pre-script and plan every single conversation they have on air? If so the BBC is soon going to become a very very boring place!

I agree with you and I would like to ask folk why violence is fine and naked women can be seen by kids in everyday newspapers and in stores but if a man unzippes his pants on RADIO it is a scandal—
Better watch out or the UK will become another puritanical society like the US, where violence reigns on TV while swearing, sex or any kind of nudity at all are “bad”. Blood and gore, no problem. People being real, sexy or naughty, no way. And I say this as an American who finds British TV a breath of fresh air since it’s much more real than US TV. It’s a shame that this entire incident got blown totally out of proportion by a single person with no sense of humor.
And yeah, I know it was radio and not on TV, which makes it even MORE irrelevant.
It’s a storm in a teacup, and this comes from someone who listened to the show when it was aired. Daily Mail style hypocrisy at its best.
