John Barrowman Still Gets Into Bed With Parents?

Am I just emotionally stunted or does anyone else find it strange that a 41 year old man is admitting to hopping into bed with his parents when the mood takes him?

Torchwood star John Barrowman told the Daily Star:

“At a hotel recently, I wandered into their room to have a chat and got into bed beside them,” he said.

“I’m not ashamed to admit that. My mum thinks you are never too old for a cuddle.”

I’ve gotta say, I love my parents and all, but I’m not sure its ‘normal’ for me to hop in and out of their bed like a scared toddler. Anyone else got an opinion on this?

I think it’s wonderful that John has this sort of relationship with his parents, that he feels he can call on them at any time, regardless of where they are. If I have a problem or something on my mind I don’t feel weird about sitting with my mum on her bed and talking and I’d like to think that when I have children of my own they will always feel they can come and talk about anything, whether it’s the middle of the day or night. Parents can give you the greatest advice and a cuddle from either your Mum or Dad can never be replaced, I learned that after losing my father at the tender age of 12. Live life, talk lots, and hug tightly because you never know what’s coming around the next corner.
