‘Love Me Again’ singer-songwriter John Newman has revealed plans for a six date tour of the UK later this year, which will see him visit Edinburgh, Manchester, London and Birmingham to name but a few cities.
Newman is also set to appear at the BRITs this Wednesday (19th February) – which will air live from London’s O2 Arena – as he is nominated for three awards including British Male Solo Artist, British Single and Best Video
23-year-old John Newman first broke onto the scene in 2012 after he featured on the huge Rudimental track ‘Feel The Love’ which topped the singles chart in June of the same year.
Since then, the singer has gone on to sell over 300,000 copies of his debut album ‘Tribute’ which he released in October 2013, and the first single to be lifted from the album was ‘Love Me Again’ for which he is nominated for a gong at the BRITs this week.
John Newman recently spoke with the team over at Gigwise and admitted that he feels that people who want to be in the music industry are losing their creativity and are turning to shows like the X Factor as an easy option, adding that he thinks “it’s a little bit lazy”.
As we said, John is set to go on tour later this year and will visit six cities up and down the UK. Tickets for the shows will go on sale from 9am this Friday – the 21st of February.
The tour dates can be seen below:
- October 18th 2014 – Edinburgh Corn Exchange
