Journeyman To End After 12th Episode

Kevin Falls, creator of Journeyman has confirmed that the first series of the show will most likely end after the twelfth episode.
Falls admitted that due to the never ending writers strike and the average ratings of the show, the team are prepared to wrap it up at episode number twelve.
“Episode 12 is the end of our order,” Falls told premiumhollywood.com, “and let’s not kid ourselves. It’s a long shot that we would get a back nine, given the strike and our questionable numbers.” Falls referred to the extra nine episodes NBC would have to order to make up a full season.
Falls added that Episode 12 is written in such a way that it could constitute an end to the series should it be canceled. “It wouldn’t answer every question, but it would give you a lot to chew on,” he said. “We would give you some answers, and we’d withhold others.”
As the future of the show is uncertain, he said, “we didn’t want to turn over every card. But I think people will find it satisfying, and it’s really good.”
In the upcoming 12th episode, Dan (Kevin McKidd) encounters another time traveler. “And you’ll get some of the answers to what goes on,” Falls said.

Oh great , I actually like an american show and they cancel it because the US audience can’t follow a plotline involving “tachions” that accelerate matter to many times light speed thus creating enough energy to open a wormhole in the space time continuim. (They have Nuclear weapons over there you know ! )
What are the “Numbers” in the UK ? could we not buy up the show and make another 9 episodes. I believe it’s been done before. (I found some change down the back of the sofa , £ 2.56 and a hairy toffee) Lets start a Save Journeyman campaign. I will be chairman.
I’m with you Neil. We really got into this show, and I can’t believe its been cancelled. However, I think may before us have tried to save the show and failed.

But if I throw in the £1.20 from my kids copper box and a packet of supernoodles, you never know what we might be able to persuade Sky to do!
its a joke the show will cancelled !!! one of the best programmes ive seen and im not the only person to say it. so please save me from bad t.v and put it back on air

I have been able to watch all the episodes of Journeyman and totally agree that from never having heard of it a week ago, I am now a confirmed fan.
What a shame those that had the ability, didn’t have to common sense to see that such a good programme could become an outstanding one if given a little more time and allowed to develop.
How short sighted of them to just ‘give up’ – and it doesn’t take a time traveller to know that if anyone else could pick up the option and take over production, it would be not only a very successful venture, but I bet profitable to!
Isn’t there someone out there with enough clout to do with this series what has been done in the past, and save it?
yeah i agree it is one of the best and so entertaining and u take it off there should be something we can do about it i know im gonna try…last time i saw it was when it ended on skyone and now i dont know what happens …….some people have no manners
I am really disapointed too, the only decent American series I have ever watched, any one read The Time Travellers Wife? On a similar line to Journeyman, brilliant read.
once again the dim witted yanks have done it again and cancelled a show because their audience couldn’t follow the plot and subjected the rest of the free world to their self centred foreign policies they wouldn’t know a good thing if it was to slap them in the face and knock them down.i love the simpsons but i now believe that they all have the same iq as homer
I just heard Journeyman isn’t coming back. I cannot believe this. This was one of the most intelligently well written shows with such an interesting story. You get crappy shows like Survivor and all of these stupid reality shows coming back because noone knows what else to write about. Then you get great characters like the ones in Journeyman and you take it off the air. You don’t even give it a chance to take off or get the word out. Couldn’t you have changed the time slot to see if it would’ve given more viewers. I am so sad. It was one show that my husband and I actually sat down to watch together.
i watched journeyman and to me it seems silly not to bring it back it’s a good show. Better than anything my home country can come up with. Paul from the uk.
I have just found out that this show will not be returning. Very disappointed, my husband and I thought it was great and was glued to every episode. When I tell my husband tonight he will be upset has recently kept asking when will it return thinking Autumn would be a good time for it. I wish someone would sit and realise that we want more than boring reality stuff and when you get a good show with good plots….keep it! Next itme you come up with something like this try promoting it and putting on at a decent time as we only found it by accident.
I am very disappointed that Journeyman will not be returning to our screens. I have eagerly awaited it all Summer long, awaiting the advert to advertise the second series. I think the programme wasn’t advertised very well which may explain the low numbers of people watching it. The programme is fantastic and by far the best i have seen in some time.
Become a fan of Journeyman on Facebook and lets show the producers that it is in fact a popular programme with many fans.
Not surprisingly the media moguls in the U.S cancel something that was panning out to be the intelligent mans replacement to Quantum Leap. Such an open ended idea every day would and could present a different story. Add to it the very subject of time travel and you have a Sci Fi writers dream. Time and time again the networks cancel something due to ratings. What do they expect when they constantly shift around programs to different times and days, while poorly advertising the fact. People get fed up and with series like this if you miss an episode you might as well give up.Its not like Neighbours where you can get back into the plot inside two minutes. There was a lobby to bring back Farscape after it was canceled, at least it made it back for a special that tied up all the loose ends.
You cant blame everything on the writers strike.
After all Battlestar Galactica made it throught the strike and so did Lost for that matter.
If you got rid of all the Celebrity whatever shows, the Aussie soaps and the voyeristic stuff like Big Brother what would there actually be left to watch other than the news, and the occasional documentary or sports game.
