Justin Bieber is NOT retiring according to his management team

The internet went crazy recently (in a positive and negative way) after it was allegedly revealed that pop superstar Justin Bieber would be retiring from music.

Reports had been back and forth and even on Christmas day it seemed like it was true after Justin Bieber himself tweeted the news – though that was all just to get more media attention – well played Justin, well played.

It turns out that the 19 year old is NOT retiring according to a statement released from his management team and that the tweets on Christmas day were all a hoax.

The reason? Well apparently Justin just wanted to give the press something to talk about after the rumours began circulating that he was giving up on his music.

On Christmas Day Justin posted the following tweets:

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal however COO of Scooter Braun Projects, Scott Manson confirmed that Bieber was “100 percent” not retiring.

Allison Kaye (GM) also commented and said: “Justin is a hard working 19-year-old who would prefer that his recent fundraising work in the Philippines and the considerable amount raised for the cause be the media’s focus more than the recent reporting on him retiring.

“Regarding his recent tweeting about his ‘retirement’ Justin felt that this was the best way to respond to the latest in a long line of inaccurate or wildly exaggerated media reports about him.”

“He chose to channel his frustration into playing along with this baseless rumor and even used ‘beloved’ to tip off his core fans that it wasn’t real.”

She added: “But within 20 minutes, Justin realized that fans were confused by the media reports and clarified that he was kidding. This wasn’t a planned stunt, it was just another day in the life of living under the microscope.

She concluded: “Justin loves his fans and understands that this scrutiny comes along with his success and the interest in him from fans and media.”

So what do you think? Was this a clever move by Justin Bieber? He sure got everyones attention but is the whole Bieber thing starting to fade away? After all in the UK he’s released nearly ten singles now in as many weeks and we’re not even sure what they sound like?
