Karen Gillan’s cousin lands Doctor Who role

The nine year old cousin of new Doctor Who assistant, Karen Gillan, has also landed a role on the BBC show.
Caitlin Blackwood is said to have won the part over hundreds of other child auditionees and either that is one very talented family, or we are looking at some serious nepotism here.
Speaking of her auditions, Caitlin told The Sun: “It was really exciting. Doctor Who was really nice and good fun.”
Caitlin’s headteacher Christine Cameron said:
“We are so proud of the way she has taken to working on a major film set in her stride,” she said.
“Everyone is impressed with her ability to listen to and follow direction, be flexible in her approach, get on with new people – she has charmed them all.”
A BBC spokesman said: “We’re delighted to have her.”
