Ex-Dynasty actress Kate O’Mara is to make a guest appearance in BBC soap opera, Doctors.

78 year old O’Mara is to play the role of Rosetta Froom, an eccentric old woman who lives in the cellar of her son’s funeral parlour.

Producer Erika Hossington said: “We are all so excited to have Kate filming with us. This is a really fantastic role for her – it’s something completely different to anything Kate has done before.

“Kate clearly has a great sense of humour and so this particular episode, which is a black comedy more than anything else, is perfect for her.”
