Kath & Kim Series 4 - Exclusively On LIVING

KATH AND KIM

The hornbags are back for Series 4

With guest appearances from Matt Lucas, Eric Bana and Shane Warne

Kylie and Geoffrey Rush have both braved the hornbags in previous series, and now its time for Brit Matt Lucas (Little Britain), cricket legend Shane Warne and Hollywood actor Eric Bana to step on set; one as the supermodel half sister of Sharon (Lucas), one as Sharon’s boyfriend (Warne) and Eric Bana as himself. Kath and Kim – now true megastars down under - are back in a brand new 8-part, hotly anticipated series that recently launched in Australia to 2.52 million viewers on the Seven network.

Described as “Neighbours on acid”, mother and daughter Kath and Kim are still living in the suburbs; living the suburban dream. It’s hard not to cringe with embarrassment at every turn and also laugh at their attempts to be something they will never be - ‘effluent’. The series follows Kath - a forty-something single lady who likes to keep herself trim and cleanses and tones of an evening, and her daughter Kim, a pouting princess whose glass of Bailey’s Irish Cream is always half empty rather than half full. She believes she’s a hornbag in anyone’s language. Along with Kath’s husband Kel, Kim’s husband Brett, and best friend Sharon, it’s “noice”, “special” and always “unusual”!

Mum Kath (Jane Turner) is still as foxy as ever and neat as a pin. She teams her pumpkin pants with her grey matter to great affect. Kath does a Real Estate course and learns how to gazump people. She also becomes a health professional, an Indonesian speaker and finds a skeleton in her closet (well her walk-in) and pops it on sometimes for husband Kel.

Since the birth of exceptionally bright child Epponnee Rae, self-confessed yummy mummy Kim (Gina Riley) and husband Brett have been kept busy. She still gets plenty of me-time though and heads to Fountain Gate Mall to window shop at Typpphaneez and drool over all the bling…literally (she is now banned from the shop).

As per usual life is a pile of the proverbial for Sharon with no job, no flat and no love life but all is not lost when she finds her perfect match. Will she live happily ever after with a flipper? Or will she always be desperate and dateless?

Starting weekly, exclusively on LIVING, from November 1st, 10pm
