Coronation Street actress Katherine Kelly has insisted that she is happy being single, following the recent split from actor Oliver Williams.

Kelly told New magazine: “I’m happy being single – my friends have started getting married and I’ve had two weddings this year, but I’m not in a rush.”

She continued: “I do want children, but I’m all or nothing, and I know that when kids come along, my life will totally change.”

On turning 30 next month, Kelly said:

“I’m looking forward to it. I look at the people I know who are 30 and they are still fun,” she explained. “Besides, most people don’t believe I’m nearly 30, which is a result!

“When I was 21, my mum gave me a tub of eye cream and said, ‘Start using that!’ I’ve also discovered Ashtanga yoga. I take vitamin B, which gives me energy, and I’ve started having microdermabrasions. But the best way to stay youthful is to keep laughing, surround yourself with good people and have a thirst for life.”
