Katy Perry and Rihanna apparently want to create the “best song ever”. No we don’t mean they want to cover that One Direction song.

The pair who are actually good friends have apparently spoken for quite some time about collaborating together but are waiting until they know the song is right.

This past weekend Katy Perry was a guest host on Los Angeles radio station 102.7 KIIS FM for the American Top 40 and commented on working with Rihanna.

The 29 year old ‘Roar’ sensation admitted that Rihanna and herself have been good friends for quite some time and are eager to work together on a masterpiece.

Perry said: “We’ve actually been talking about it for years, so we can’t let anyone down. We have to do the best song ever. Beyond that, I think we’ll definitely get around to it and when it happens, you are going to know.”

Katy Perry also spoke about her Christmas holiday plans and revealed that she doesn’t intend on setting any New Years resolutions:

“If I need to change something, I feel like I just change it,” the songstress explained.

“Like, I just make the change that day. It doesn’t have to be the pressure of January 1 because it feels like you’re setting yourself up. But you know, you do you and I’ll do me!”

Katy Perry Alan Carr 2

This past Friday Katy Perry appeared on Channel 4 talk show Alan Carr’s Chatty Man and performed a stunning rendition of  her new single’Unconditionally’.

The performance follows a heavily criticised X Factor performance and a restarted performance in France the same weekend.

‘Unconditionally’ is the second single to be lifted from Katy Perry’s 2013 album ‘Prism’ which reached the top of the charts in the UK and US on its release.

Katy Perry will return to the UK next year for the 2014 BRIT Awards and then again for her ‘Prismatic World Tour’ run of the UK.
