A video surfaced online recently featuring Katy Perry and ‘Twlight’ star Robert Pattinson which shows the pair singing together in what looks like a karaoke bar.
In the clip the duo are filmed performing a rendition of ‘I’ll Make Love To You’ by Boyz II Men and Perry has since spoken out at her disappointment at the video being found.
The beauty who recently scored a number one with her new album ‘Prism’ and single ‘Roar’ spoke with radio presenters Kyle and Jackie O and admitted that she was annoyed that the press had got their hands on the clip.
Speaking to the Austrailian presenters she confessed she was upset because when the media get their hands on something so innocent they can blow it out of proportion and spark rumours and ruin friendships.
“Yeah [we did karaoke] in 2008. Well there’s the media for you, nothing is sacred – not even karaoke! We were just hanging out and we have a lot of friends that we hang out with.”
The ‘Roar’ singer continued: “One of my best friends is a mutual friend of ours and we got wasted and did karaoke like people do! About eight years ago and it finally f**king showed up on the internet.”
“At least it shows you that we’re actually just friends, we’re like true friends. It’s like if you’re a girl you can’t be friends with that guy… I feel for him, I feel for him.”
Katy spoke recently about how she wishes that fellow pop stars wouldn’t get naked just to get noticed:
“I couldn’t tell kids when it’s time for them to try things or do things. I mean, that’s not my role. But…I do see myself becoming this inspiration out of default right now.”
“Like females in pop – everybody’s getting naked. I mean, I’ve been naked before but I don’t feel like I have to always be naked to be noticed. But it’s interesting to see.”
