We’re quite surprised at this one as we love Taylor Swift and we love Katy Perry but apparently they have a little bit of beef with each other.
It’s a bit of a long story but don’t worry, we’ll break it down for you to make sure you get all the important pieces of information, we thought they were ‘buds’ as well…
This whole thing began when during a recent interview, in which ‘Shake It Off’ beauty Taylor Swift hinted that there was beef between the pair.
It was suggested that during Taylor’s HUGE 2013 ‘Red’ tour, which saw her go around the world in support of her album of the same name, Katy P tried to lure away her dancers for her own work.
Now, several months later it sounds like Taylor has written a song about the whole saga and called it ‘Bad Blood’ – it’s not the same as the Bastille record which is just as good!
The track is lifted from her upcoming album ‘1989’ and apparently, according to Rolling Stone magazine it’s about “another female artist Swift declines to name”.
As always the internet was quick at work and came to the conclusion that the only person they could think it would be was Katy Perry.
It gets worse, well not really, but it all stems from when Katy Perry pinched three of Taylor Swift’s dancers right in the middle of the RED tour… and they’ve been enemies ever since. Oh the shade!
Taylor added that it wasn’t even an incident because of a guy and said it was about “business” and that she tried to “sabotage and entire arena tour”.
“She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.” she told Rolling Stone.
What makes the internet think it’s Katy Perry now? The fact that Katy sent out the following tweet: “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…” – MEOW!
Readers, we want to know your thoughts, is it Katy Perry or do you think it’s someone completely different that Taylor is talking about? Is Katy really that bothered? Is it all for publicity?
