Katy Perry had a busy weekend as she performed at the X Factor final on Sunday night live at Wembley Arena and the songstress also performed at the 15th annual NRJ music awards on Saturday.
During her performance though in Cannes she was halted by the shows presenter due to technical difficulties which sounded like she was only lip syncing but gone wrong.
The 15th annual NRJ music awards took place in Cannes on Saturday (14th December) and Katy Perry took to the stage to perform ‘Roar’ – the first single to be lifted from her new album ‘Prism’.
However, for whatever reason the backing track started before Katy Perry was even on stage and by the time she appeared it was clear she was lip syncing.
The reason we know, well what Katy was saying didn’t match what was being said. To her rescue came the ceremony host to stopped the performance and asked her if she’d like to start again.
Clearly she couldn’t pick up where she left off as it was a disaster up until this point. Quick thinking by the host to get on stage to save what was left.
The beauty agreed and started ‘Roar’ again this time completely live.
You can see the video of the performance below.
Earlier this morning Katy Perry appeared on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show with host Nick Grimshaw and discussed her UK tour and randomly her eating habits.
She said: “My mom’s a health nut, but I think I feel very clear and healthy because of it.”
Perry continued: “My mom always pumped vitamins into me, she always has from day one, and all kinds of juices and blends and stuff like that. I mean when you’re on tour [I have to be] especially [healthy] yes.”
Take a look at the performance from the NRJ music awards from Cannes below. This is after Katy Perry starting singing once again, this time completely live.
