Katy Perry is set to appear on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man on Channel 4 tonight from 10pm with other guests including comedian Lee Mack, Bruce Forsyth.
The singer won’t only be chatting with Alan Carr though, she’ll also be treating fans to a performance of her new single ‘Unconditionally’.
While talking about a range of topics with Alan Carr tonight Katy Perry also reveals how she stopped drinking alcohol completely following her marriage to Russell Brand falling apart.
Katy and Russell got married back in 2010 but split up a year later and Katy touches on three months following the split saying “it was devastating”.
The songstress also said that after the break-up she was surrounded by “negative thoughts” and speaking to the Chatty Man she said:
“You know I did a lot of different things, I surrounded myself with my good friends, I did this whole cleanse where I didn’t have any of the alcohol for three months – that was devastating – I did vitamins and supplements, and hikes and meditation and prayer.
“But I think at the end of it all, as much as the things I did, I think there was something cosmically happening that was looking out for me in some ways, but I was putting my best positive foot forward.”
It wasn’t all doom and gloom as Katy Perry also revealed a hobby she is very fond of and it’s something she loves doing whenever she gets a spare minute – crocheting.
Katy Perry will perform ‘Uncondtionally’ on Alan Carr’s Chatty Man which airs at 10pm on Channel 4 tonight but in the meantime you can watch the official music video below.
