The MTV EMAs aren’t for another month at least but already information is beginning to come out as to who will appear as the ceremony visits Amsterdam.
It has been confirmed today that ‘Roar’ star Katy Perry will perform her next single at the awards and Anchorman star Will Ferrell will make a special appearance throughout the show.
Katy Perry is crossing the pond to Amsterdam to perform her next single “Unconditionally” at the MTV EMAs (Europe Music Awards).
Katy Perry is no stranger to the EMAs as she’s already got three awards to her name.
The ‘California Gurl’ also hosted the awards ceremony in 2008 and 2009 and performed each year from 2008 to 2010.
In a statement released by Perry the star said: “I’m so excited to return to the EMA stage”
“I have tailor-made a performance of a brand new song from PRISM to share with fans from around the world.”
Also making a special appearance at the MTV EMAs will be Will Ferrell who will reprise his role as Anchorman star Ron Burgundy for the night.
Ferrell as Ron Burgundy will provide live updates throughout the show and it was only last month that Ron Burgundy hosted the MTV EMAs nomination special show.
The MTV EMAs are much like the VMAs and will see the likes of Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the nominations list for this year with five nominations each.
Meanwhile Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus are all up for four awards.
Other than the above mentioned Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Daft Punk, One Direction, Rihanna, Imagine Dragons and many more are all up for various awards.
This years MTV EMAs will take place in Amsterdam on the 10th of November at 6:30pm ET/PT.
Viewers outside the US wishing to catch the ceremony can do so the same night but at 9pm ET (2am GMT)
