After the Boyzone reunion bombed big style, Keith Duffy is to refocus his efforts on acting and return to Coronation Street according to The Sun.

It has previously been revealed that Peter Barlow is to open a new gastro-pub to rival the Rovers and producers want Keith’s character Ciaran McCarthy back to help him run it.

Ciaran’s ex Sunita Parekh (Shobna Gulati), is also expected to return later this year and the storyline could see a reunion on the cards, which would no doubt rile Sunita’s former husband Dev.

A Corrie source said last night: “Everything is in place for him to return in the New Year. It’s exciting to have him back.”
