Kerry Katona has hit out at This Morning presenter, Phillip Schofield branding him as “ignorant and arrogant” and accusing him of discriminating against her.

Kerry slurred her way through an interview with Phillip and Fern on This Morning this week, prompting people to claim that she was either drunk or on drugs. But Katona blames the slurring on her Bipolar medication and claims that Schofield did not take her condition into account during her appearance.

“He was out of order. Saying I was drunk is ignorant and arrogant,” Katona told The People. “Why didn’t Schofield ask me about my condition on air and help explain my slurring was due to my illness and medication? I think this is all very wrong. I would take action against him – but I want to see what happens first.”

She added: “Everyone is speaking from pure ignorance – it’s discrimination against bipolar people. They asked me why I was slurring and I said it was because of my illness and because of my prescription medication. But they completely ignored the fact.

“It was ignorant and discriminatory to anyone who has got my condition and they were completely out of order.”
