Reporst suggest that Kevin McGee, husband of Little Britain star Matt Lucas, is to be the new presenter for children’s TV show, Blue Peter.

“Kevin has already enjoyed a successful career behind the camera but now he wants to try his luck at a bit of presenting,” a BBC source told the Daily Star Sunday. “Kevin was not really on the radar.

“But after he stepped out in his Prince Charming-style panto outfit, at the party following his civil partnership with Matt last December, a lot of people started to notice him. He has a great personality which really comes through in front of the camera. He is a natural – TV dynamite.”

The source continued: “Kevin has been interviewed by the BBC and they are really excited about the prospect of working with him. It is almost a done deal – just a couple of things need to be ironed out.”
