ITV are to remake and revamp one of its most famous game shows, The Krypton Factor.

The show will return to our screens in 2009 and auditions all over the UK to find contestants will kick off within the next few months.

Show producers have promised to use “the latest technology” to challenge the contestants observation skills, intelligence and general knowledge.

“The contestants’ most dreaded foe will be back with new challenges, twists and technology,” ITV said in a statement.

Claire Horton, the controller of entertainment at ITV Productions, said: “We are taking a brilliant format and bringing it bang up to date with state-of-the-art technology.

“We look forward to getting some brilliant contestants who viewers will really get behind, making it one of the most exciting contests on television.”
