Kylie Minogue is set to have a busy year. Last weekend she made her TV debut on The Voice UK on BBC One as a mentor alongside Ricky Wilson and veterans will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones.
Around the same time the pop princess also announced some new music with Into The Blue’ due to be released on the 16th of March.
The new mentor on The Voice UK is also set to perform at a special show for the 2014 Mastercard Priceless campaign with fellow singer Laura Mvula though an exact date and location is still to be revealed.
Kylie Minogue has spoken with MailOnline about her new material and confessed that she’s injected “a freshness” so that her new album retains that Kylie Minogue album sound.
She said: “The sound essentially retains my DNA, and what a Kylie song is,”
“But I think that gives me room to manoeuvre because you have something like ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’, to ‘Slow’, to ‘I Believe In You’ to ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ – it’s still within the pop/dance arena.”
She added: “What it has done for me, most importantly, is injected a freshness and a vitality into doing what is basically what I’ve always done – I needed to have a fresh approach and Roc Nation has helped me do that.”
Speaking about the gig for the 2014 Mastercard Priceless campaign Kylie said: ”I can’t wait to perform some of my new tracks at my MasterCard Priceless Gig”
“After a year of working on my album in the studio, I’m so excited to share all my hard work. It’s genuinely a priceless moment for me to be given this unique opportunity.”
Fans also have the opportunity to meet Kylie Minogue at the gig thanks to Mastercard.
