Kym Marsh says losing her baby has made her want to help other British mums

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has said that losing her baby Archie last year, has made her want to reach out and help other mothers in her position.

Marsh gave birth to Archie 18 weeks prematurely in February, but he died just seconds later.

Kym has since made a documentary for ITV to raise awareness has started to campaign for more research into premature births.

Kym told The Mirror:

“Meeting other women who’d been through the same ordeal as me was really cathartic. Unless you’ve experienced it, you can’t understand how it feels. You feel lonely, really lonely.

“After it happened, I was handed a leaflet and told there was a number on the bottom if I needed any therapy. I remember thinking, ‘I can’t believe this is all I’m leaving hospital with’. When you’re in that situation, someone should be reaching out to you. You shouldn’t have to go looking for them.”
