‘ARTPOP’ was the comeback album from Lady Gaga last year after she was forced to take time away from the music scene for a required operation.
Some fans would probably argue that they loved the album and that it was just another Lady Gaga marvel but for many it felt a little bland and her critics certainly didn’t hold back.
Lady Gaga however has now spoken out to her critics and has replied to all their comments regarding her latest album which she released late last year.
In a post on her LittleMonsters.com website Lady Gaga discussed how she believed that the album was misunderstood by many hence all the bad reviews.
She said: “I don’t understand critics but here’s why: would you critic a dance show if you were not yourself a dancer?”
“Would you critic an English paper if you did not speak English? Or a French paper if you don’t speak French? Don’t let these things bother you, because the concepts of ‘ARTPOP’ I spent a lot of time and research a love on.”
“But everybody (sic) will understand it, it operates in a place of love that sees the world as unified. It is simply a pleasurable experience for you to access if you choose.”
She concluded: “I don’t believe that we are divided as people. If you criticise others you criticise yourself.”
Lady Gaga recently released a new version of ‘Do What U Want’ which is lifted from ‘ARTPOP’. The track originally featured R. Kelly but now features vocals from Christina Aguilera instead.
The songstress revealed the new recording via Twitter and said: “Happy New Years Twitterverse, I wish you a beautiful and happy 2014, I wanted to start little monsters 2014 with a surprise so…”
“Here’s ‘Do What U Want feat. Christina Aguilera’ STUDIO Version. Pink champagne, gold lame, hair, and fearlessness.”
