Lady Gaga to make hosting debut on ‘Saturday Night Live’

by Nick Barnes

It has been revealed that Lady Gaga will make her hosting debut on the ever popular Saturday Night Live this month.

Gaga performed on the late night show back in 2011, to promote the release of Born This Way, but she has never taken the reins to host the show. She even served as the musical guest in 2009 as well.

Not only that, the singer will be impressively pulling double-duty on the night as not only will she host the show and appear in the sketches, she will act a the musical guest for the night.

Gaga will appear on the show on November 16 – the same week that her hotly anticipated album ‘ARTPOP’ is released, so she’ll be performing some of her new tracks for the first time on the show.

The star wrote on Facebook: “Lady Gaga is returning to Saturday Night Live! She will be hosting and performing on the November 16th show. Make sure to watch on NBC.”

Last month, Lady Gaga opened the iTunes festival in which she performed tracks from ARTPOP for the very first time, whetting appetites of millions of Little Monsters around the globe.

Thus far, Gaga has released Applause, Do What U Want FT R Kelly and Venus from the album. On Monday, Dope will also premiere on iTunes.

As if that wasn’t enough, ARTPOP will begin streaming via o2 Tracks exclusively in the UK the day after (November 5) which gives fans the opportunity to stream the album in full, as many times as they like, for one week leading up to the November 11 release date.

Gaga has a number of TV appaearnces and performances lined up to celebrate and promote the release of ARTPOP including an appearance on the Graham Norton Show on November 8 in the UK. The global superstar will also perfrm at the brand new YouTube Awards, the American Music Awards and the MTV. November is definitely a busy month for Miss Gaga.

Be sure to tune into Saturday Night Live on November 16!
