Lady Gaga has confirmed that she has worked with French DJ Madeon and RedOne who co-produced the track ‘Gypsy’ from her upcoming album ‘ARTPOP’.
The album is due to be released on the 11th of November this year and will be superstars fourth album – her last ‘Born This Way’ was released back in 2011.
Speaking during an interview on French radio station Fun Radio yesterday (August 25th) Lady Gaga spoke about French DJ, 19 year old Madeon who co-produced ‘Gypsy’ with RedOne.
“He is so amazing. He has such an understanding of music at such a young age. He reminds me of myself so much. He’s obsessed, so obsessed with music.
“We worked on some amazing songs together. One song in particular I love so much. It’s called ‘Gypsy’, we wrote [the song] with RedOne.”
Lady Gaga and RedOne are long time friends and have collaborated for a while now on a number of Gaga’s songs including ‘Just Dance’, ‘Bad Romance’ and ‘Judas’.
During the reveal of Lady Gaga’s upcoming album ‘ARTPOP’ last year RedOne said that the pair wanted to ‘make history’ together.
“My intent is the same thing: make history. If we don’t feel like this is part of history again, we’re not going to do it, but we’re enjoying [the process]. We love doing music, so it will be interesting to see what’s going to happen.”
Lady Gaga returned to our TV screens last night as she opened the annual MTV VMAs with her latest single ‘Applause’.
The performance which featured a number of wigs and saw Lady Gaga gradually wear less clothes seemed to be a hit with the critics and fans alike.
The superstar, who was forced to release ‘Applause’ early due to leaks will also open this years iTunes Festival which kicks off in London on September 1st.
Lady Gaga has already hinted that during her set she’ll welcome a special guest on stage who she has worked with on her new album but a name has yet to be confirmed.
