It was weird. I couldn't suspend my disbelief about the characters, plot or Ronni Ancona's accent. I just felt she was doing an impersonation the whole time. It has the right elements for a quirky, cosy, Sunday night drama but failed to come together as a believable, unbelievable piece of entertainment. It started well but that was it. It was weird. There is a type of heroine in fiction whom writers describe as 'tstl' - too stupid to live. This lot was all tstl - including Annette Crosbie and Ronni Ancona. It was un-Scottish, cliched and a total disgrace. Can't wait for the bagpipe and haggis-based crime caper next week. Just guessing.... It was embarrassing and really hard to watch.
