A very moving film with two fanastic actors. It was so painful how the mother blamed Joe for his brother's death. It's a pity it clashed with good programmes on BBC1 and ITV which no doubt limited its audience. As we know that Alistair and Joe have never met, I wonder if it would have worked using fictional characters. I felt the ending was a little too glib - the murder of a family member affects that family for years. Finally, how many could fall out of a first floor window and get up again with no broken bones?

I thought James Nesbitt was absolutely fantastic as Joe. In the lead up to the interview, the nervous energy, tension and anxiety he was expressing through the lens was actually making ME feel nervous! Liam Neeson was fabulous too, but the plaudits belong to Jimmy. He really is a fine, fine actor.
