Lauren & Max storyline – how pants was that??

As a fan of Eastenders, I have to say I’ve been very disappointed by the Lauren-Max storyline. For a start, we’re meant to assume that Lauren can drive??
Anyone who’s ever learned to drive will tell you that the first few times they tried, it did not go well…
So here’s a girl who’s barely big enough to see over a steering wheel, has never driven before and we’re meant to believe that she managed to a) move a large car at all, b) had sufficient control of the car to aim it at her dad and c) managed to stay cool and calm after doing so… yeah, I don’t think so!
And Eastenders bosses clearly didn’t take into account that we’d all be analysing the photo stills of the moment Max was run down because the driver is most definitely not a small teenager as you can see here.
I did think that Lauren had done the deed sometime ago; all the clues were there but nonetheless, I think it’s been rather lame all in all and kind of insults the intelligence of us viewers.
What do you think?

I totally agree..this story is bull! God i mean let alone the fact that she is 14, a quiet, snobby, disrespectful, little, innocent girl who hasnt experienced sex let alone HOW TO DRIVE A CAR and we are supposed to buy the fact that lauren..hu spends most of her time being miserable and mouthy actually has the feiry angry instinct to pull off knocking over her dad and not get caught? Right… I could imagine lucy pulling sumit lyk that off coz she is typical bad lass who does what she wants (plus she is most likely to have had a go driving a car) also being she is a good actor. But lauren? pfff…yeah right…i dont like her acting its crap let alone her character
I couldnt agree more!! It is utterly ridiculous!! But Eastenders is getting more and more far fetched every time I watch it!! A few examples: A few months back when Shaun got a steaming hot dish out the oven with his bare hands and didnt even flinch!! Billy had a council flat all to himself when Honey left but he chooses to be crammed in the Vic with half of Walford, how many bedrooms has that place got?? Also theres Archie who owns a huge country estate, wouldnt it make sense for him n peggy to live there? Are people in London really as hospitable as eastenders makes out? They all seem to take in any waif and stray!! The most ridiculous scene of late was when Shaun and Roxy were goin to run away and start a new life together, and they didnt even take a suitcase!!! Not so much as a nappy for baby Amy!! The writers seriously need to think about the little things like that a bit more to make it more believable!!
