I love Caroline Quentin, but whatever possessed her to take a part in this awful "comedy"? It's very dated in its style and presentation and not even funny. I watch reruns of The Brittas Empire, Likely Lads and various other comedies, including Terry and June (!)on the Gold channel and they are so much funnier than this. I hope there's no second series.

I adore Caroline Quentin, think she's one of the best actresses out there, but I totally agree with your review. She's wasted on it, she needs another series just as good as Men Behaving Badly/Life Begins to show how talented she is.

I didn't see it, and having read your review, I'm kind of glad, Lynn! To be honest, there are too many of these tepid comedies knocking about featuring formerly funny actors like Nicholas Lyndhurst. They're like a retirement home for sitcom actors.

Funnily enough, I loved your remark about having a few glasses of wine and feeling generous - there have been a few times shows have seemed 'better' through the beer goggles!
