Lily Allen has announced that she is pregnant.

The 25-year-old singer, had sparked rumours by refusing drink and cigarettes at summer festivals and by canceling a Spanish gig on doctors orders. She has now announced that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Sam Cooper and has just passed her first trimester.

The ‘Smile’ singer said: “It brings me great pleasure to tell you that Sam and I are expecting our first child. It goes without saying that we are both absolutely delighted.”

Allen suffered a miscarriage in 2008 with her former boyfriend and Chemical Brothers star Ed Simons, she recently claimed that she was quitting music to start a family so this news comes as no surprise to her fans.
