They say that life imitates art, well this time it’s the other way around! The husband of former glamour model Linda Lusardi, will be joining the cast of ITV’s Emmerdale as her latest love interest.

Sam Kane, who has also appeared on Brookside (remember the really camp one?) and Coronation Street, will show up after Christmas and force Linda’s character Carrie to choose between him and her daughter Scarlett.

Kane said of the role: “I’ve always been a big fan of Emmerdale and have enjoyed it even more since Linda joined last year. I’m really excited about playing Nick. Working with Linda always makes for a good day at the office!”

Lusardi said: “It will be fantastic to work together again and a really great opportunity for us both. Because there’s such a great chemistry between us, we hope that this will transfer through to Carrie and Nick, and the old flames will sizzle on screen!”
