In articles you never thought you’d read news, Lindsay Lohan hit the studio with Duran Duran this week.
The actress took to her official Instagram page to post the pic below to her more than 2.5 million followers, writing “#DuranDuran @alianalohan recording with some greats!!!”
In the black and white snap, the ‘Mean Girls’ actress can be seen throwing up a peace sign sandwiched between Duran Duran 80’s rockers Simon Le Bon and keyboard player Nick Rhodes as well as her younger sister Ali Lohan.
Though she didn’t clarify exactly what she was doing with the guys, she does have a history in the recording studio herself.
Though she’s arguable more famous for being a bit of a train wreck these days, Lohan has actually released two albums back in the day. Her 2004 debut ‘Speak’ peaked at #4 on the US Billboard Hot 100, whilst 2005’s ‘A Little More Personal (Raw)’ didn’t fair quite as well, only just breaking into the top 20.
Even if she’s not in the studio for herself this time (Ali Lohan is also a budding singer), the microphone doesn’t appear to be far from the actresses mind.
Just this past Sunday, she reminisced about ‘Speak’ on her official Instagram page. Posting a shot of the album cover, the ‘Freaky Friday’ star captioned the shot “10 years ago today was the release of my first album #Speak,” and it appeared to stir up some nostalgic emotions for fans.
Receiving more than 50,000 likes, fans seemed to want Lohan to make a follow up to her 2005 sophomore. One comment or wrote that they “want [her] singing again” whilst another asked “when will you release a new album?”

LinBut while this isn’t the moment for Lindsay’s big pop return, that doesn’t mean one isn’t on the cards. In fact she’s apparently hoping for her very own release really soon. The insider added: “She has been thinking of giving music another shot recently after recording with Kate Moss’ husband Jamie Hince from The Kills, last year.”
