Girl band Little Mix won the X Factor back in 2011 and the girls have had great success since the show ended. After a busy summer they are due to release their next single ‘Move’ on the 3rd of November.
The track is just a taster of the girls new album ‘Salute’ which is due to be released on the 11th of November and the video shows the girls taking charge.
Little Mix ( Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall) have had an incredibly busy 2013 – especially during the summer with multiple festival performance but they’re back in the UK.
As we said their new album ‘Salute’ is due to be released on the 11th of November and their single ‘Move’ is due to be released on the 3rd of November and is available for preorder now.
The track was co-written by the girls and so far it’s proven a hit with the fans and it’s no wonder as for the girls it’s an incredibly adventurous project with incredible vocals and funky beats throughout that will have your feet tapping from beginning to end.
Their forthcoming album ‘Salute’ is almost finished and Little Mix are currently putting their finishing touches to it before it’s released to the world.
‘Salute’ has been written almost entirely by the girls but they’ve also worked with TMS (who worked with them on ‘Wings’), Former Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts, Shaznay Lewis (who worked with them on ‘How Ya Doin’?’) and MNED (who has worked with Rudimental).
The girls recently spoke with PopSugar about why they chose ‘Move’ as the lead single from the new album and Jesy commented:
“We just think it’s fun. It’s what Little Mix are about. The song’s about not taking yourself too seriously. I still feel like it’s got the same vibe that [debut single] “Wings” had, but it’s more mature and grown-up. Our music is just evolving, as we are.”
Little Mix were also asked about ‘Salute’ and if there was a theme or particular direction in which the girls were going with the album, Jade answered:
“I think it’s just us growing up, as writers, as singers, maturing slightly. The first album was more like an experiment, just writing loads of different songs, and with this album we’ve found our niche a bit more and we’re kind of stuck to it.”
They also discussed the difference between recording ‘DNA’ and ‘Salute’ to which Jade replied “Less time”.
Leigh-Anne expanded: “But it’s good, because even though we had less time, we’re even happier with this album than the first album. First of all, we wrote even more of it — and we did write a lot of the first — so that was good.”
“It’s a lot more mature, more R&B, and everyone’s stepped up a gear as well, so we’re just taking it to the next level.
Don’t forget to preorder both the single and the album on iTunes or Amazon or any other service you use for music.
