‘Living With Michael Jackson’ to air again

The Daily Mail has revealed that ITV are to air Martin Bashir’s infamous film, ‘Living With Michael Jackson’ again in the wake of the star’s death, and apparently, previously unseen footage will be included in the new run of the documentary.
The original film drew 15 million viewers when it first aired and stirred up a storm of controversy as Jackson talked openly about sharing his bed with children, his cosmetic surgery and how his father bullied him and his siblings when they were children.
An ITV source told the paper, “It feels like now would be a good time to revisit the documentary in some form…
“The appetite for information on Jacko is bigger than ever.
“It may not have been all positive for Jacko, but it showed him at home and talking about his personal life in a way he had never done before, and now will never be able to do again.
“People can watch the footage and make up their own minds”
Martin Bashir also told the paper of his grief at Michael’s death. “His lifestyle may have been unorthodox, but I don”t believe it was criminal” he said, adding, “The world has lost the greatest entertainer it’s probably ever known.”
Here’s a clip from the original film…

I am not happy about this. This documentary started the ball rolling for Michaels public dissent. It’s editing was sneaky and it was one of the main causes for Michaels last years to be so troublesome. Airing this programme is just a cheap way to make more money out of his death. It is highly disrespectful and I think a lot of MJ fans are going to be as disgusted as I am at the thought of this so called documentary being aired.
Michael made a documentary himself that presents the truth behind all the lies this “journalist” Martin has made. This shouldn’t be ever on tv again. For the reputation of good jounalism, not this bunch of lies. Martin himself contradicted all he was telling Michael during the interview when he edited the final version of the interview.
well, i dont think there’s nothing wrong with this show, michael jackson agreed to make this show and he knew he had to adjust himself to the concequences weather their good or bad. So i’d like to see that show again!
R.I.P. Michael Joseph Jackson
Martin Bashir has a nerve writing his “condolences” in a newspaper. He was a contributing factor to ruining the public’s perception of Michael. Apparently ITV are meant to be showing a cut down version of the documentary, is this itv trying to make it more sensitive? If so, i think the damage has already been done.
RIP Michael
i truly believe martin bashir is to blame for michaels last years of misery and i hope it plays on his mind, how he helped destroy an innocent, sweet, nieve man who let down his guard to invite this man into his life.
i hope michael is at peace at last and i hope his children will never experience the media bullying he did
love u mj
Michael was truly an insiration to many people all over the world; and i think that this documentary should not be aired agin, due to the image of Michael that it portraye in juxtaposition to ‘Living with Michael Jackson Take Two’.
love you Michael,
& i hope now you will be able to get some peace ..xo’
I too think Martin Bashir has a damn cheek stating his “condolences” in newspapers. I totally agree that it was his mishandling of the precious, privileged time he was allowed into Michael Jackson’s world which led to the public vilifying of Michael in the world’s media and the subsequent claims against him – obviously for money and nothing more. Michael Jackson was clearly a sweet, innocent, naiive “man” who needed psycholigical help rather than having the knife twisted. Martin Bashir should hang his head in shame at what he has done, and will have to live with the consequences of his actions for the rest of his life. Having said that, I would like to see the documentary again, as it is the last time I shall ever hear Michael speak about himself in such a personal way. RIP MJ – YOU ARE MUCH LOVED, EVEN IF YOU NEVER REALISED IT, AND YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. xx
