LOOK! Marc Wootton carries Doctor Who’s David Tennant at Nativity 2: Danger in The Manger premiere

It’s a star studded night in London’s Leicester Square this evening as David Tennant premieres his brand new festive movie.

The original ‘Nativity’ film featured Sherlock’s Martin Freeman, however he has since moved on to pastures new – only The Hobbit people! – but fear not as David has taken the lead was not alone on the red carpet this evening.

Tennant was joined by his co-stars Joanna Page, Jason Watkins, Ian McNeice, Ben Wilby, Jessica Hynes and Marc Wootton. Marc celebrated the evening by lifting the handsome star aloft and holding him in the air as the photographers had a field day!

In the movie David plays the roles of twin brothers Donald and Roderick Peterson, both choir masters who enter their radically different singing groups into the National ‘Sing a Song for Christmas’ competition.

Prior to filming starting, director Debbie Isitt and actor David Tennant spent a week in Coventry, getting some real classroom and choir experiences and helping with the auditions for the child roles.

Nativity 2 is released on Friday 23rd November.
