Lorde may only be 17-years-old but she definitely seems to know what she wants and has confessed that she’s attracted to the idea of confidence.
The singer originally from New Zealand found success in the UK last year when her single ‘Royals’ topped the Official Singles Chart.
As we’ve seen previously Lorde is fairly open when it comes to speaking to her mind and in a way we respect that. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and just because she’s 17 doesn’t mean she shouldn’t be vocal.
The singer spoke recently with Rolling Stone magazine and confessed that being confident is a massive part of who she is.
She said: “I’ve always been into the idea of confidence. Even my stage name is kind of cocky and grandiose.”
We also reported previously that Lorde offered advice to some younger musicians who want to make it big like Lorde has by saying that they should set boundaries from themselves otherwise things could go wrong.
She said: “If you want your music to be heard …you can just put stuff on the internet and people can love it and that’s cool.”
“You have to go into it with an idea of who you are and what you want to do, and you have to have an idea of the things that you won’t do, and the things that you want to aspire to.”
“Because if you have clear goals and absolute no’s for yourself, then people can figure it out. And then you won’t be left like, ‘Oh, sh*t, why did I do that..’ I don’t know, juice commercial.”
Lorde is set to perform at the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards this coming weekend (Sunday 26th of January).
The singer will join the likes of Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Madonna who are also scheduled to perform at the annual awards ceremony.
