Lost Season 6: Did they succeed?

As the new and last season of Lost looms on the horizon, here’s a look at the latest news, spoilers and trailers – as well as miscellaneous bits – which ABC have issued to drive us Lost crazy before season 6 begins. And if these trailers and teasers are to be believed, it looks a lot like the plan to send them all back to their past – or forward in time – worked…
Let’s start with a video that features Hurley and an ad for Oceanic…
So let’s analyse the bejusus out of that… first, Mr. Cluck’s Chicken has been a regular feature in Lost and of course relates to Hurley specifically. So let’s assume that this relates to season 6, could it then mean that the plan to send everyone back to a time before The Island worked? Is this in fact Hurley’s ‘new’ future?
He talks about dreaming of chicken while in Australia, so maybe, he never left Australia and never boarded flight 815?
The second video is the Oceanic Air advert in which it’s stated that they launched in 1979 – which ties in with a lot of the stuff about Dharma from the ‘70s – and that they have an unblemished safety record, so does this mean that 815 never crashed?
Now onto another video which shows Kate featuring on America’s Most Wanted…
Yet again, is this another sign that flight 815 never happened, or at least, never crashed? Because of course before the crash on the island, Kate was wanted for the murder of her step-father.
Finally, onto another clip and this one relates to Dharma but again, it may or may not be anything more than a red herring. Click here to see the clip.
So what do you think? Are these videos indicators that the bomb did its job and sent them all back in time, or are they just teasers and red herrings? I’m hoping they aren’t in that it’d be great to see how it pans out if season 6 begins with them all pre-815!
