Lost Series 4: Only Some Will Be Saved!

LOST returns exclusively to Sky One for an action-packed fourth season on Sunday 3 February at 9:00pm and, with the dramatic twist to the finale of season three, this series is set to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
There are only three more short seasons left in the award-winning series: what was LOST is about to be found. Rescue is imminent… but how or by whom remains a mystery. Executive producers and creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are putting together the final pieces of the jigsaw and have the entire journey mapped out.
Catapulted into the future at the end of last series, we saw a troubled Jack (Matthew Fox), with Kate (Evangeline Lilly) after they had been rescued from the island. But how far in the future was this? How did they get off the island? Were they the only survivors to escape? And who is in the coffin?
Matthew Fox has been tantalising fans with some revelations commenting: “Jack and the other people, upon getting back to the world, are not being honest with the world. They are covering up [something]. That’s an agreement that they’ve all reached. And it’s a weird, gross little bond that they have with each other. They don’t see each other much, but when they see each other, it’s incredibly awkward. And this lie - you can cut it with a knife amongst them.”
He added: “Jack gets people off that island, [and] suddenly he and the other people are very well-known - it becomes this massive story because everybody thought that every person on this plane was lost…Who are they? What is everybody else doing? Jack’s mission was to get all of them off. It’s the over-riding force behind him. So, the fact that he ends up getting off and doesn’t get that accomplished - I’m very curious to find out how that all goes down. And part of that is going to be part of the reason why he wanted to jump off the bridge in the future…”
Season Four uses flashbacks and flash-forwards as a way of both answering and raising questions. Lindelof has confirmed that Michael (Harold Perrineau) will be back this season, but will his son Walt?
Life on the island changed beyond recognition last series, as the castaways battled the Others and Charlie sacrificed himself.
Newcomer Naomi (Marsha Thomason) proved not to be who she claimed, as Charlie and Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) learned that Penny wasn’t on the boat. So who is on board? Captured by Jack, Ben (Michael Emerson) implored the doctor not to make contact with the mystery ship, but it was too late. Will the castaways and the remaining Others be forced to unite to fight a new enemy? A teasing glimpse of the season opener reveals a new character (Jeremy Davies, Rescue Dawn) informing Jack that ‘Rescuing you is not our primary objective.’
Elsewhere, Sun’s (Yunjin Kim) fate hangs in the balance as her pregnancy moves into the critical second trimester. Additions to the cast for season four include Jeff Fahey (Silverado, The Lawnmower Man), Lance Reddick (The Wire, Oz), Rebecca Mader (Justice, The Devil Wear’s Prada), Ken Lueng (The Sopranos, X-Men: The Last Stand) and Andrea Roth (Rescue Me).
