Magic! set to score their first ever UK number one single with ‘Rude’

It’s Wednesday and that can only mean one thing, it’s time to update the world on the Official Singles Chart midweek update.

Every Wednesday the Official Charts Company release information showing who is placed where at this midweek stage on the UK Top 40 and this week it’s all change.

That’s right because Canadian band Magic! look set to score their first ever UK Number (1) single with their reggae track ‘Rude’ which you can hear at the bottom of this article.

It’s been a climb up the charts for the Canadian band after their single climbed a staggering 48 places into number two following its official release.

Bars & Melody

The Official Charts Company are reporting that the track is currently in the lead by 10,000 copies following its continued growth in popularity.

Britain’s Got Talent 2014 duo Bars & Melody are making their mark on the Official Singles Chart for the first time since the show.

Their debut single ‘Hopeful’ is currently at Number (2) on the charts and this looks to be the beginning of a massive career for the youngsters after signing with Simon Cowell’s label Syco.

Someone else looking set to score their first UK Top 40 hit is vocalist and producer ZHU with ‘Faded’ which is currently at Number (3) on the chart.

Cheryl Cole and her new single ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ featuring Tinie Tempah falls into Number (4) while Melissa Steel is at Number (5) with ‘Kisses For Breakfast’ at this midweek stage.

The Official Charts Company are also reporting another four new entries on the chart this week including Dutch producer Bakermat with ‘One Day’ at Number (12).

Vic Mensa, a rapper from the US is at Number (22) with ‘Down On My Luck’ while Naughty Boy’s new track ‘Home’ is at Number (32).

Finally The Voice UK 2013 hopeful Leah McFall is at Number (37) with her official debut single ‘Home’ completing this midweek chart update.
