As fans of The Walking Dead will know, it’s back on our screens on FX, where it’s aired on Friday nights at 10pm…

And today, we have a spoiler for you, and it’s the revelation that a major character is going to die!

Click ‘Read more’ if you want to know who that is!

The show’s creator Robert Kirkman spilled the beans about which main character is set to die, and it is… dun dun dun… Shane!

While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Kirkman said, “We knew that [Shane] was going to die before we cast Jon Bernthal.

“If the first season had been 13 episodes instead of six, Shane’s story would have been told all in that first season…

“It would have been much like the comic book where Shane dies at the end of the first volume.

“We knew from day one when we sat down in the writers’ room to pull out the second season that this was going to be the season that Shane died.

“It was always about working toward that and building up that character and setting up this confrontation between Rick and Shane.”

However, Kirkman went on to say that he hopes viewers’ enjoyment of the show hasn’t been ruined by the various spoilers that have leaked out in the internet.

One such spoiler was the news that Dale Horvath (Jeffrey DeMunn) was to be injured by a walker and then shot by Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) in the episode, ‘Judge, Jury, Executioner’.

Of that, Kirkman said, “If my Twitter feed was any indication after Dale died, none of those spoilers reached most people.

“So, I feel like there are still some surprises left for most people watching the show.”

It’s also been revealed that Shane will “come back to life” as a walker, even though he doesn’t seem to have been bitten.

Of that, Kirkman said, “[It’s] something that we connected through the Jenner whisper secret and is something that is going to be revealed in the next episode.”

Oh man I cannot wait to see what happens! In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at the next episode, ‘Better Angels’.
