Mark Hamill Snubs Channel 4 Star Wars Reunion

Actor Mark Hamill has refused to take part in a Star Wars reunion show, because Channel 4 refused to pay him £25,000.

It was hoped that Hamill, who played the infamous Luke Skywalker in the original three Star Wars movies would agree to participate in the ‘Bring Back Star Wars’ show that is being fronted by comedian, Justin Lee Collins.

However, he wanted too much money, more than Channel 4 wanted to (or could afford to) pay. An insider told The Sun:

“There’s no way we’d pay Mark so much money. Fortunately Carrie [Princess Leia] is with us and is brilliant.”

    Couldn’t they offer him £24,000 instead? ;)

  2. Cory Morr says:

Mark Hamill should do the show and come back as Luke Skywalker. It would be good practice if he is to return in Star Wars: Episode 7,8,9 (VII,VIII,IX).

Cory, no one believes you or Supershadow. So stop banging on about a trilogy that is not going to happen.

SS. com is a fake website and you are right. I would still like to be some form of EU after Return of the Jedi on film or tv or at least a part 7,8,9 film trilogy with the original cast.

It is sad to know that a story as wonderfull as Star Wars has come down to pay-offs…

Has it not occurred to people that perhaps Mark Hammill doesn’t wish to keep retreading a movie he made 30 years ago because he has other things to do, or maybe even that he doesn’t care for Justin Lee Collins and the price he quoted was what it would take for him to put up with him?

You’ve got to do a ‘Bring back …. The Goonies’

Mark is just a boring sod. Carrie was up for it even though she could not make it to the reunion. Notice all the people in the UK turned up. Maybe if Justin had the reunion in the US the others might have turned up?

I think Justin did a very good job, just to interview the cast! Maybe he can try going after the cast in the new star wars films as they might not be as miserable as Hamill.
