Mark Little To Star In Emmerdale
Australian actor Mark Little will be bringing an extra burst of comedy to the Yorkshire Dales this Autumn when he appears in an hour special episode of Emmerdale.
Mark will play Aussie character Jonty, a suave, suited stranger who arrives in the village in October to visit Louise (Emily Symons), much to Bob (Tony Audenshaw) and Terry’s (Billy Hartman) horror as they fear he could pose a romantic rival for Jamie (Alex Carter).
Jonty turns up at the B&B to the shock of Louise, whose on/off engagement with postman Jamie is hanging in the balance. Jonty soon reveals his identity and the nature of his involvement with Louise, to the astonishment of the villagers.
Will Jonty’s arrival spell the end for Louise and Jamie’s relationship or can he win her back before it’s too late? The hour special will be screened at the end of October.
Mark Little is best known for his much-loved role as Joe Mangel in Neighbours and has since appeared in a raft of stage and TV productions, in addition to a three-year stint presenting The Big Breakfast.
Mark says “I’m a big fan of Emmerdale and I’m looking forward to appearing in such an established show. My character is a true Aussie with some great lines. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Anita Turner, Series Producer says “We’re delighted that Mark was available to make this appearance. The path to true love has been anything but smooth for Louise and Jamie. Mark will bring some great comedy to this heartfelt episode.”
